In both Camarines Norte and Metro Manila, it has something to do with eating, but while in Norte it means "something you always eat" in NCR it means "unintentionally eaten". There is no pure "Tagalog" anymore (if there ever was one in the first place). The Tagalog = Pilipino =Wikang Pambansa was a political decision after all.
But here is the thing. Filipino is a modern concept. You can’t have a dialect deriving from a language that was invented hundreds of years after it....
